Canton Atelier OnWall 5 On-Wall Speaker, White (Each)

The Canton Atelier OnWall 5 is an on-wall speaker that puts the balanced 2-way sound of the Atelier 5 line visibly on the wall instead of building it in.

It uses the same cabinet as the InWall 5 – including its own bass volume, independent of the wall – but hangs on a VESA bracket directly in front of it. No cut-out, no plaster dust, no construction mess.

Why the Atelier OnWall 5?

Because it brings its own small cabinet instead of relying on the wall's volume. A 128 mm aluminium-titanium woofer/midrange driver works against a passive radiator, while the 25 mm tweeter with wave lens spreads the highs evenly across the room. That makes the sound predictable – regardless of exactly where it hangs.

What you hear

A tidy, unobtrusive sound image with clearly intelligible voices and bass that reaches further, at 40 Hz, than you'd expect from such a flat cabinet. As a stereo pair, the music stays in the room instead of sticking to the wall.

Who is the Atelier OnWall 5 for?

For anyone who wants good sound but can't or isn't allowed to cut into the wall – rented flat, uncertain wall construction, or you simply don't want to commit. Bottom line: if you want home cinema with impact in the gut, you'll need a subwoofer alongside it. And if you want the technology to disappear completely, the InWall 5 is the better fit.

Our verdict

The sensible all-rounder among mounted wall solutions: unobtrusive in looks, balanced in sound, uncomplicated to install – without needing a tradesperson on site.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Atelier OnWall 5 need a wall cut-out?

No. It mounts directly in front of the wall via a VESA-compatible bracket (100 × 100 mm) and brings its own cabinet with passive radiator. A cut-out or access to the wall cavity isn't necessary.

Is a pair of OnWall 5 enough without a subwoofer?

For music in small to medium-sized living rooms, yes – a 40 Hz lower cutoff is solid for that size. For home cinema with impact in the gut or large, open rooms, add a subwoofer. It's sold per piece, so you need two for stereo.

Can I mount the OnWall 5 in a bathroom or kitchen?

In the kitchen, yes; in the bathroom, only outside the splash zone. Canton doesn't state a damp-room certification for the Atelier OnWall series. For a shower or outdoor area we'll plan an explicitly damp-room-rated solution for you.

What's the difference from the Atelier InWall 5?

Same cabinet, same sound – the InWall 5 disappears into the wall, the OnWall 5 hangs visibly in front of it. For rented flats or uncertain wall construction, the OnWall 5 is the less complicated option. We'll tell you honestly what suits your wall.

Why buy the Canton Atelier OnWall 5 from HD Zürisee?

Because even a wall bracket should sit in the right spot. We plan position and cable routing with you, and Mauri handles on-site installation if needed. Give us a call or write to us, we'll take a look at your room.
