Canton ASF 75 SC Active Subwoofer, White (Each)

The Canton ASF 75 SC is an active subwoofer from Canton's specialty speaker range that, with its flat build, delivers the low-end foundation for stereo and home cinema systems either freestanding or wall-mounted.

43 centimetres wide but only 15.5 centimetres tall: the ASF 75 SC is designed for rooms where a classic subwoofer cube demands too much floor space. In white, it also blends unobtrusively into light walls and sideboards. The wall bracket is included; if you'd rather place it freestanding, use the height-adjustable feet with spike preparation.

Why the Canton ASF 75 SC?

Because a subwoofer doesn't always have to be a piece of furniture. The 192 mm aluminium chassis with wave surround and double-cone diaphragm works in a bass-reflex enclosure and still pulls 33 Hz of depth out of the flat build – enough foundation for music and film sound, without the subwoofer itself becoming a topic of discussion in the living room. High-level and low-level inputs match it to practically any amplifier.

What you get

• Active subwoofer in a bass-reflex enclosure, 60 W RMS / 120 W music power
• 192 mm aluminium woofer with wave surround and double cone
• Crossover frequency continuously adjustable from 65 to 150 Hz
• 2× high-level and 2× low-level inputs
• Automatic switch-on and switch-off, height-adjustable feet with spike preparation
• Wall bracket for flexible mounting already included

Who is the ASF 75 SC suited for?

For anyone who needs extra bass but has neither the space for a large subwoofer cube nor the desire to hide it against the wall. Straight talk: with a 33 Hz lower cutoff, the ASF 75 SC isn't a deep-bass monster for a home cinema basement, but a compact all-rounder for living rooms. If you regularly push levels beyond what the neighbours will tolerate, or fill a very large room, talk to us about a bigger model.

Our verdict

A subwoofer for anyone who wants bass but not an extra piece of furniture. The flat build and the standard wall bracket make it an uncomplicated addition to stereo or home cinema systems. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil, we'll help you work out whether wall or floor mounting is the better solution for your room.

Frequently asked questions

Can I mount the ASF 75 SC on the wall?

Yes, the matching wall bracket is included. Just as easily, you can place it freestanding on the height-adjustable feet with spike preparation. Which option works better in your room mainly depends on the wall structure and cable routing.

Does the ASF 75 SC match my existing system?

As a rule, yes. With high-level and low-level inputs and a crossover frequency adjustable from 65 to 150 Hz, it can be matched to practically any amplifier or AV receiver. Tell us what you have, and we'll tell you whether the combination works.

How large can the room be for the ASF 75 SC?

It's comfortably enough for a normal-sized living room. With a 33 Hz lower cutoff it delivers a solid foundation, but it's no substitute for a large home cinema subwoofer in a 50-square-metre cinema room. For significantly larger or very loud rooms, we'll advise you on stepping up a size.

Why buy the Canton ASF 75 SC from HD Zürisee?

Because we'll tell you honestly whether wall or floor mounting suits your room, and whether a flat subwoofer like this is enough or more cone is needed. Our specialist team has been doing this since the nineties, and Mauri handles the installation on-site on request. Call us or write to us in Wädenswil.
