Active 2-way bookshelf speakers with wireless BluOS connection

The PSB iQ2 is the expanded version of the iQ1: an active speaker pair with built-in amplification and BluOS multi-room streaming. Two 4-inch polypropylene woofers and two 0.75-inch aluminium dome tweeters (neodymium, ferrofluid-cooled) are driven by a total of 270 watts of Class D power – each tweeter gets its own amplifier channel.

Connected wirelessly

Unlike the iQ1, the two iQ2 cabinets communicate with each other wirelessly – only one of the two needs power and a network connection nearby, while the second can be placed more freely in the room. Streaming runs via BluOS lossless up to 24-bit/192kHz over Wi-Fi or Ethernet, plus AirPlay 2, Spotify/Tidal/Qobuz Connect and Bluetooth with aptX Adaptive. For wired sources there's HDMI eARC, an optical input, a phono MM input, plus USB-C and USB-A, along with a subwoofer output.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an additional amplifier?

No. The iQ2 is active – amplifier and streaming module are already built in. You just connect a source or your network, nothing more is needed.

Do I need to plug both cabinets into mains power?

Yes, both cabinets need their own power – only the connection between the two speakers for the audio signal is wireless, not the power supply.

What's the difference to the iQ1?

The iQ1 connects the two cabinets by cable and shares one amplifier channel for both tweeters. The iQ2 is the higher-tier, more flexible variant with a wireless connection and its own tweeter channel per cabinet.
