The Atlantis Lab AT13C is a passive 2-way bass-reflex center speaker that handles the dialogue channel in your home cinema with a 28 mm fabric dome tweeter with horn lip and a 13 cm mid-woofer.

It is the compact center of the Atlantis Lab range: just 21.7 centimeters tall, but a good half meter wide. That lets it slip under many TVs without turning the screen into a chest of drawers.

Why the AT13C?

Because in a home cinema roughly seventy percent of the action runs through the center – dialogue, voices, everything that sticks to the screen. For that, the AT13C offers 90 dB efficiency at 8 ohms, a load that any common AV receiver or amplifier drives without breaking a sweat. What you hear

Is the AT13C active or passive?
Passive. The AT13C has no built-in amplifier and needs an amplifier or AV receiver to drive it. At 8 ohms and 90 dB efficiency it is not a difficult load and runs cleanly on common electronics.

How big is the AT13C?
50.6 centimeters wide, 21.7 centimeters high and 31 centimeters deep. The low height helps under the TV; you need the depth for the bass reflex and cables. Measure your shelf and line of sight before buying so the center does not intrude into the picture.

How long do I need to break in the AT13C?
The manufacturer states 100 hours. During that time surrounds and suspensions settle, and the sound usually becomes rounder and more open. Break it in at normal levels, for example with films and music, and judge it only afterwards.

What connections does the AT13C have?
A single speaker terminal for banana plugs or bare wire, i.e. single-wire. Bi-wiring is not provided for. For clean contacts, use cable with a suitable cross-section and keep the run to the receiver as short as possible.
