Argon Audio TT4 MK2 Turntable, Black (Each)

The Argon Audio TT4 MK2 is the flagship of the regular TT series: a pre-fitted Ortofon 2M Blue, a carbon/aluminium tonearm and a heavy, rubber-damped platter deliver the cleanest sound in the range so far. In black, it looks understated and premium at the same time.

Why the TT4 MK2?

The Ortofon 2M Blue is one of the best-known entry-level high-end cartridges around and resolves noticeably finer detail than the systems used in the smaller Argon models. The 1730 g rubber-damped platter delivers steady speed stability, and the patent-pending ATS technology further damps resonances in the tonearm. A built-in, switchable phono preamplifier makes an external device unnecessary.

What sets the TT4 MK2 apart from the TT3 Plus?

Above all, the cartridge: Ortofon 2M Blue instead of 2M Red, plus a heavier, rubber-damped platter and a lighter tonearm with 16.2 instead of 21.3 grams of effective mass. Overall, the TT4 MK2 resolves finer detail and plays more calmly.

Can I upgrade the cartridge later?

Yes, the 2M Blue can, for example, be upgraded to an Ortofon 2M Bronze or Black (some 2M systems share the same stylus assembly) – talk to us if you're planning this, and we'll advise you on the right combination.
