AudioQuest Evergreen Interconnect Cable (RCA)

The AudioQuest Evergreen is an analog interconnect cable with RCA connectors that combines solid Long-Grain Copper conductors with an asymmetrical, dual-balanced geometry. This is where the AudioQuest ladder begins – exactly the spot where most systems still have a grey bundled cable plugged in.

Why the Evergreen?

An interconnect cable carries the analog signal from the source – CD player, DAC, streamer, phono preamp – to the amplifier. The Evergreen uses solid wire instead of stranded conductors for this, so the signal doesn't migrate back and forth between individual strands. The copper is long-grain LGC with few grain boundaries, the insulation is foamed polyethylene that absorbs very little energy and releases it back only with delay. A metal layer drains high-frequency noise before it reaches the ground of your devices, and the asymmetrical geometry deliberately gives the ground path a lower impedance than the signal path.

What you get

A ready-terminated stereo pair with gold-plated RCA connectors, in the length of your choice from 0.6 to 20 meters. The direction of travel is marked on the jacket: arrow pointing to the input, done. Other terminations such as 3.5 mm jack or DIN we handle on request.

Frequently asked questions

What makes a solid conductor better than stranded wire?

With stranded wire, the signal migrates back and forth between individual strands, and that creates distortion. A solid conductor like the one in the Evergreen doesn't have this problem. Add to that long-grain copper with few grain boundaries, which further calms and cleans up the transmission.

What are the arrows on the cable jacket for?

They show the direction of travel. Plug the cable in so the arrow points toward the input of the receiving device – that is, from the CD player to the amplifier. AudioQuest controls conductor direction during manufacturing, and the marking makes sure it's also correct in operation.

What length is the right one?
