Collection: AUDIOQUEST

AudioQuest is a US cable manufacturer that develops signal and power connections consistently around conductor material, geometry and noise dissipation – from the affordable RCA cable to Niagara mains conditioning.

Founded in 1980 in California, AudioQuest is today one of the few cable brands whose range runs seamlessly from entry level to the very top league. The common thread is always the same: clean copper (silver-plated or pure silver on the top models), a well thought-out conductor geometry, and a construction that dissipates high-frequency noise instead of carrying it into the system.

How to find the right cable

The three questions that really matter: which devices are you connecting, how long does the run need to be, and where does your system stand sonically? The series follows from that – not from the price tag. With power conditioners a fourth question comes in: how clean is your mains power in the first place? In a quiet old building, a filter achieves less than in a flat full of switch-mode power supplies.

Honestly

The AudioQuest hierarchy is real, but the gain gets smaller as you go up. The top third of the price list only pays off on suitably resolving systems. A good cable doesn't turn a mediocre system into a good one – an unsuitable one can audibly hold back a good one. We recommend what fits your chain, and we say so too when the cheaper level is enough.

Frequently asked questions

Which AudioQuest cable suits my system?

That depends on the devices, cable length and budget. Write or call us with your chain – we narrow it down to two or three sensible levels instead of pushing you upward. For speaker cables, we make up length and connectors to match your terminals.

RCA or XLR – which is better?

Balanced (XLR) pays off mainly on long runs and when both devices have genuine balanced inputs and outputs. On short runs in a cleanly wired system, it makes little difference. Many AudioQuest models come in both versions at a similar price.

Do power conditioners really do anything?

Depending on power quality and system, anywhere from clearly to barely noticeable. Power conditioners are no substitute for room acoustics and suitable speakers – those come first. We'll tell you honestly when your money achieves more somewhere else.
