Add to that a 10-band equalizer, a parametric EQ and 26 sound presets. You don't have to use them. But if your speakers sit closer to the wall than the designer intended, due to lack of space, they're worth their weight in gold.

Who is the WiiM Pro for?

For anyone with a good system who wants to bring it onto the network without buying new gear - and for anyone streaming seriously for the first time who doesn't want to invest four figures straight away.

Honestly: the WiiM Pro has no display and no headphone output, and the analog output is where the device's savings were made. If you connect the Pro to a high-quality preamp and want the last bit of fine resolution, you're better off with the WiiM Pro Plus and its AKM converter - or simply use the digital output on the Pro. Also no phono input: your turntable still needs its own preamp.

Frequently asked questions

Can the WiiM Pro drive a power amp or active speakers directly?

Yes. In the WiiM Home app you switch the analog output from fixed to adjustable, after which you control the volume directly at the streamer. Be sure to set this before connecting a power amp - otherwise full level hits it the moment you switch on, and few people survive that unscathed.

Can I connect headphones to the WiiM Pro?

No, the WiiM Pro has no headphone output. You'll need an amplifier or a separate headphone amplifier behind the streamer for that. If listening through headphones matters to you, it's worth looking at the WiiM Ultra: it has a genuine headphone output with its own amplifier on the front.

Can I connect a TV to the WiiM Pro?

Yes, via the optical input. The TV outputs sound digitally, and the WiiM Pro passes it on to your system. The Pro has no HDMI ARC jack - if you need that, look at the WiiM Ultra or a WiiM Amp, where HDMI ARC is on board.

Do I need a streaming subscription for the WiiM Pro?
