The WiiM Voice Remote is a Bluetooth remote control with a microphone for WiiM streamers and amplifiers. It solves modern systems' biggest everyday problem: having to hunt for your phone for every little thing.

Why the WiiM Voice Remote?

Because an app can do everything, but it's rarely faster than pressing a button. Volume, skip track, pause – with the Voice Remote that happens instantly, no unlocking, no searching, and nobody shouting "where's my phone" in the middle of a song.

It communicates via Bluetooth Low Energy and therefore needs no line of sight. So you can hide the streamer behind the TV, in a cabinet or in another room and still control it.

What you get

Besides the usual buttons, there are four freely assignable preset buttons: radio station, playlist, album – whatever you want, at the press of a button. Plus a microphone button for Alexa voice commands and a source selector to switch between network, line-in and HDMI.

Range is up to 15 metres for button commands and around 9 metres for voice commands – more than enough for normal homes, even across two rooms.

Who is the WiiM Voice Remote for?

For anyone with a WiiM Mini, Pro or Amp that didn't come with a remote. And for households where not everyone has the WiiM app on their phone – guests, kids, grandparents.

Straight talk: It doesn't work with the WiiM VibeLink Amp, the Sub Pro or the WiiM Bar – these devices aren't designed for it. Batteries aren't included, so you'll need two AAA cells as well. If you'd rather have a rechargeable remote in an aluminium housing, go for the Voice Remote 2.

Which WiiM devices does the Voice Remote work with?

It works with the WiiM Mini, Pro, Pro Plus, Amp, Amp Pro, Amp Ultra and Ultra. Not supported are the VibeLink Amp, the Sub Pro and the WiiM Bar. With the Pro Plus, Ultra and the Amp models, a remote is usually already included – there it's worth having as a second unit.

Do I need a line of sight to the device?

No. The Voice Remote communicates via Bluetooth Low Energy and works all around, not via infrared. So the streamer can sit behind the TV, in a closed cabinet or in another room. Range is up to 15 metres for button commands.

Are batteries included?

No, you'll need two AAA batteries as well. If you'd rather charge than swap batteries, the WiiM Voice Remote 2 is the right alternative: it has a built-in battery, charges via USB-C, and comes in an aluminium housing.
