How many records really fit inside?

The manufacturer states up to 40 albums. Standard LPs in normal cardboard sleeves reach that number; gatefold editions and records with extra outer sleeves need more room, so fewer fit accordingly. If you keep your whole collection in outer sleeves, plan for some reserve.

Does the stand scratch my record sleeves?

No, as long as you don't overfill the compartment. Records stand loosely side by side instead of being pressed against each other — tightly wedged sleeves rub together when pulled out. With a bit of air in the stand, covers and vinyl stay undamaged. If you want to be extra safe, also use outer protective sleeves.

Does the ST40 fit under a sideboard?

At 245 mm in height it fits under most free-standing sideboards and common shelving compartments. Measure the clear height of your compartment beforehand and add one to two centimetres of clearance so you can still pull records out comfortably.
