The Argon Audio Stream 3 MK2 is a network streamer with a built-in DAB+/FM tuner that plays Spotify Connect, internet radio, Bluetooth and classic radio through an existing system. It's the larger of the two Argon streamers — and the only one that still makes music even when the internet is taking a break.
Why the Stream 3 MK2?
Three things set it apart from its little brother: a network socket for wired operation at 10/100 Mbit/s, Bluetooth 4.2 with aptX for anything that isn't built in, and an antenna connection for DAB, DAB+ and FM. That means a single box covers everything from the local station to your playlist — and you don't have to decide whether your living room does radio or network.
What you get
On the back, an antenna socket, LAN port, RCA output, optical digital output and the connection for the 5-volt power adapter line up — considerably more than the 400-gram case would suggest. Up front, the colour display runs through station, title and cover art. Control is via infrared remote or the UNDOK app; you control Spotify directly from the Spotify app. Antenna and RCA cables are included.
Who is the Stream 3 MK2 right for — and who isn't it for?
Plain talk: only Spotify Connect is built in from the factory as a streaming service. Tidal, Qobuz or Apple Music come into the device via Bluetooth — that works, but it isn't the same as native integration. Anyone after maximum converter quality is better served with a separate DAC behind the optical output. For everyone who wants to listen to radio, Spotify and occasionally their phone through a good existing system, though, it's surprisingly complete.
Our verdict
A streamer that hasn't forgotten about radio. This combination — DAB+, network and Bluetooth in a case that fits behind any amplifier — is rarer than you'd think. Whether DAB+ comes through cleanly at your place by Lake Zurich, and which antenna solution makes sense, is something we're happy to discuss: HD Zürisee in Wädenswil, 044 680 22 00 or WhatsApp 076 534 22 00 (text only, no calls).

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between the Stream 3 MK2 and the Stream 2 MK3?
Three connections. The Stream 3 MK2 has a DAB+/FM tuner with an antenna socket, a LAN socket for wired operation, and Bluetooth with aptX. The smaller Stream 2 MK3 works over WLAN only, without a tuner and without Bluetooth. Both have a colour display and RCA and optical outputs.
Can I connect the Stream 3 MK2 with a network cable?
Yes, via the Ethernet socket at 10/100 Mbit/s. That pays off wherever thick masonry or a crowded 2.4 GHz band slows down WLAN. Wireless works too, of course: the streamer supports 802.11 b/g in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands.
Does the Stream 3 MK2 receive DAB+ and FM?
Yes. Via the antenna socket on the back it receives DAB, DAB+ and FM, and the matching antenna cable is included. That means the device still plays music even when the internet is on strike — the practical difference to a pure network streamer.
Which streaming services run on the Stream 3 MK2?
Spotify Connect and internet radio are built in permanently, both without a detour via your phone. Tidal, Qobuz, Apple Music or YouTube come in via Bluetooth with aptX from your smartphone. Internet radio and DAB+ run without any subscription at all, so a streaming service isn't a must.
Why buy the Stream 3 MK2 from HD Zürisee?
Because DAB+ reception and network quality depend on where you live, and we know the region around Lake Zurich. We tell you beforehand which antenna solution makes sense, set up the device on request, and stay reachable with our own technician afterwards too.
