The Argon Audio TT3 is a minimalist belt-drive turntable focused on the essentials: a clean run, a pre-fitted Ortofon OM 5E, and a detachable headshell for future cartridge experiments. The ash finish shows a visible, light wood grain.

Why the TT3?

No phono preamplifier, no Bluetooth, no USB – the TT3 is deliberately stripped back, putting the budget into the tonearm and drive instead. The aluminium tonearm with detachable headshell lets you switch to a different cartridge later on, without replacing the whole arm. You'll need an amplifier or an external phono stage with a phono input.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a phono preamplifier for the TT3?

Yes. The TT3 has no built-in phono preamplifier. You'll need either an amplifier with a phono input (MM) or an external phono stage in between. If you're not sure what you already have, we're happy to work it out with you beforehand.

Can I change the cartridge later?

Yes, that's exactly what the detachable headshell makes easy: you screw in a different MM cartridge without changing anything on the tonearm itself. That way, the TT3 can be sonically upgraded later on.
