The Cabasse The Pearl wall mount in white is an L-shaped steel bracket that brings the Cabasse The Pearl onto the wall and can be adjusted by ±20° towards your listening position. It's the space-saving alternative to the floor stand – and the only solution when there simply isn't a square metre of floor space left for a stand.

Why the wall mount?

Not every living room can take two stands. The wall mount doesn't take up any floor space, holds the Pearl at whatever height you choose, and can be adjusted by ±20°. That matters more than it sounds: a speaker that radiates in all directions, mounted close to a wall, needs the right angle, or the imaging tips off to the side.

The bracket comes pre-drilled – both for attaching to the speaker and to the wall – and lets you route the cable behind the wall. Painted white and paintable over: paint it in your wall colour and, in the end, all you see is the sphere.

Who is the wall mount suited for?

For small rooms, for living rooms where a stand would be in the way, and for anyone who wants a fixed, permanent position. Bottom line: it's not a makeshift fix, but it's not a universal solution either. The The Pearl weighs 18 kg – not every wall carries that, and certainly not every wall plug. A lightweight partition wall with no load-bearing base is the wrong place for it. If you want to stay flexible and move the speaker around occasionally, you're better off with the floor stand.

How far can the speaker be adjusted?

By ±20°. That lets you angle the Pearl towards your listening position, instead of leaving it fixed flat against the wall. In practice you rarely need more room to move, since the Pearl radiates in all directions anyway – but the fine adjustment still makes an audible difference to focus and treble balance.

Which Cabasse models does this wall mount fit?

Only the Cabasse The Pearl. For the Pearl Akoya, Cabasse offers its own, smaller wall mount with a separate part number, and Myuki, Keshi and Pelegrina each have their own solutions too. This bracket is designed for the mounting points and weight of the larger The Pearl – please don't mix and match.

What kind of wall do I need for mounting?

A load-bearing one. The The Pearl weighs 18 kg, plus 2.6 kg for the mount. Cabasse's mounting instructions explicitly state that the wall, screws and wall plugs must be rated for this load. Concrete and solid brick are no problem; with lightweight partition walls you need a load-bearing substrate.

Can I paint the mount in my wall colour?

Yes. The mount is delivered painted white and is designed to be painted over. If you paint it to match your wall's colour, the bracket visually all but disappears and the Pearl appears to float freely on the wall. Lightly sand it first and use a primer, and the paint will hold for good.
