The bFly-Audio FlatLine is a device base for equipment and speakers that still fits into especially shallow racks, lowboards or wall units.
Where other bases fail on build height, the FlatLine brings bFly-audio's proven absorber technology down to 22 to 30 mm – for spots where a normal base simply doesn't fit anymore.
Why the FlatLine?
At the core of the FlatLine is the special 3LPW wood: three layers of different chip density, fine on the outside, coarser in the middle, fine again underneath. This uneven distribution dampens vibrations across a broad range – the actual trick behind a base that needs so little height to do it.
What you hear
Calmer bass, clearer mids, less blur in the sound – the same effect larger bFly bases deliver, just in places where there simply wasn't room for decoupling before. Small in footprint, not in result.
Who is the FlatLine for (and who isn't it for)?
Ideal for equipment and bookshelf speakers in a sideboard, rack or under the TV, where every millimetre counts. Bottom line: for heavy floorstanding speakers or packed racks, BaseOne or BaseTwo are the better fit – the FlatLine carries up to 75 kg, no more. The Basic feet deliver solid cork-rubber decoupling, while the PLUS feet get noticeably more precision out of their extra polymer gel layer.
Our verdict
The FlatLine solves a very real living-room problem: too little height for too much ambition. If you've held off on decoupling because a base wouldn't fit under the shelf, this is your solution – without compromising on sound. Which size and foot version fits your device is something we're happy to work out with you at HD Zürisee in Wädenswil.

Frequently asked questions
What size does my speaker or device need?
Measure the footprint and compare it with our five sizes from S (25×30 cm) to XL (56×46 cm). The FlatLine carries up to 75 kg – for heavier floorstanding speakers or full racks we recommend BaseOne or BaseTwo. If you're unsure, just give us a call and we'll work it out together.
What's the difference between Basic and PLUS feet?
Both versions have a ring of cork-rubber granulate; the PLUS feet add a soft polymer gel layer on top. The result is more precise, more natural decoupling – audible, but subtle, not a night-and-day difference.
Why are sizes S and S/M only available with PLUS feet?
In our view, only the better absorber stage is worthwhile for the compact formats, which is why we offer S and S/M exclusively with PLUS feet. From size M upward you can choose freely between Basic and PLUS, whatever suits your budget.
Can I get the FlatLine height-adjustable?
No, the FlatLine is deliberately not height-adjustable – that's what lets it stay so low, at 22 to 30 mm. If you need height compensation for an uneven surface, the BaseOne with adjustable feet is the better fit.
