ViaBlue NF-S1 XLR Cable, Balanced
ViaBlue NF-S1 XLR Cable, Balanced
Couldn't load pickup availability
The ViaBlue NF-S1 XLR cable is a balanced analogue connection that couples two components with an XLR connector with low interference and stable levels.
The balanced design largely cancels out interference on its own – ideal for longer runs or setups with many sources of interference nearby. Silver-plated, tinned OFC conductors, the Quattro Silver Shield quadruple shielding and the solid T8 XLR connectors are standard on ViaBlue, not premium cosmetics.
Why the NF-S1 XLR?
Balanced wiring pays off wherever the signal has a longer run, or where power supplies, dimmers and Wi-Fi are transmitting nearby. The NF-S1 brings enough shielding for that, and stays quiet even at length thanks to twisted conductors.
What you'll hear
A deeper, calmer background from which fine details emerge more clearly – no fireworks effect, just the feeling that nothing stands in the way anymore.
Who is the NF-S1 XLR suitable for?
For anyone with balanced inputs and outputs on a pre-/power amp, DAC or active monitors. Plain talk: if your devices only have Cinch, XLR won't help – then take the Cinch/RCA version. XLR isn't a sonic magic potion, but the cleaner transmission where the technology allows for it.
Our verdict
A thoroughly solid balanced cable at a fair price, which consistently brings the NF-S1 virtues to XLR. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil we'll help you find the right length and configuration for your system.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does XLR offer over Cinch?
XLR transmits in a balanced way: interference that affects both conductors equally cancels out at the input. This pays off especially with longer cable runs or in electrically noisy environments. The prerequisite is balanced inputs and outputs on both devices.
What length should I choose?
As short as possible, as long as necessary. Measure the actual distance between the devices and allow a bit of extra for strain relief. Too long barely hurts the sound, but unnecessarily drives up the price.
Is Cobra or Black better?
That's purely aesthetic. The braided sleeve differs only in colour; construction and sound are identical. Choose the colour that matches your devices and your rack.
Why buy the NF-S1 XLR from HD Zürisee?
Because we know from years of experience when balanced really makes a difference and when Cinch is enough. We advise you on length, configuration and combination – by phone, WhatsApp or email, so you don't have to buy on a hunch.
