Bluesound Hub Multiroom Streaming Hub

The Bluesound Hub is a multiroom streaming hub that feeds analog and digital sources such as a turntable, CD player or TV into the BluOS multiroom system.

It's the bridge between your old favorite source and the networked setup: once connected, vinyl, TV sound and more land wirelessly on every BluOS player in the house. No second cable running across the living room, no swapping plugs behind the rack.

Why the Bluesound Hub?

Because plenty of good sources can do everything – except network. Not the turntable, not the CD player, and the TV only halfway. The Hub gives them exactly that: via HDMI eARC, optical and coaxial digital input, line RCA and a low-noise phono MM input, it takes in the signals and distributes them over BluOS to your Bluesound players. Two streams run at the same time – say, vinyl in the living room and internet radio in the kitchen, from a single flat box.

Who is the Hub for – and who isn't it for?

Ideal if you already have Bluesound players like Pulse, Powernode or Node and finally want to bring your analog sources into the multiroom system. Straight talk: the Hub has no analog output and no headphone output. It doesn't feed a system directly, only the network. So it's no good as a pure phono stage for your amplifier – for that you need a classic phono preamp. And without at least one BluOS player in the house, it simply stays silent.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a Bluesound player for the Hub?

Yes. The Hub takes in sources and distributes them over the network, but has no speaker or amplifier of its own. You need at least one BluOS player – say, a Powernode, a Pulse or a Node connected to your existing system. Multiple players can be grouped together freely.

Can I connect my turntable directly?

Yes. The Hub has a low-noise phono preamp for MM cartridges. You connect a turntable with an MM cartridge directly; for MC cartridges you need an additional matching phono stage in front of it. The record then plays in every room with a BluOS player, and you don't have to swap any cables.

Does the Hub have an analog output or a headphone output?

No, neither. The Hub outputs its signal exclusively over the network to BluOS players. That's why it has neither a fixed nor a variable audio output, nor a headphone jack. If you're looking for a phono stage for your amplifier, a classic phono preamp is the better choice.

Does the Hub bring TV sound into the multiroom system?

Yes, via HDMI eARC. The TV sound lands wirelessly on your BluOS speakers, and thanks to CEC you control the volume with the TV remote. That turns your existing Bluesound speakers into your TV sound, without an extra soundbar under the screen and without another device in the rack.
