The Denon DRA-900H is a stereo receiver that combines an integrated amplifier, FM/DAB+ tuner, and HEOS streaming in one device, while also serving as an HDMI switching center for the TV.

"Receiver" here really means what it always used to mean: a radio tuner is built in, plus 2026-era extras like HEOS multiroom, six HDMI inputs with 8K pass-through, and an eARC output for the TV. One device, many jobs – yet still no bundle of compromises.

Why the DRA-900H?

Because it closes the gap between a pure integrated amplifier and a full AV receiver. 100 watts per channel at 8 Ω drive your speakers confidently, while six HDMI inputs mean the console, streaming box, and Blu-ray player no longer need to hang individually off the TV, but are switched cleanly through the DRA-900H – including 8K pass-through and eARC for lossless TV sound.

What you hear

A powerful, balanced stereo sound with the familiar Denon signature, plus the flexibility to serve any source: FM and DAB+ via the built-in antenna, Spotify Connect, Amazon Music, TIDAL, and Qobuz via HEOS, or a turntable on the phono MM preamp. Two subwoofer outputs round out the foundation.

Who is the DRA-900H suited for? (and who isn't it for)

For anyone who wants a compact stereo system with radio, streaming, and TV connectivity in one device – ideal for a living room without a separate home cinema rack. Bottom line: There's no headphone output, and if you want genuine multi-channel sound with height speakers, you need an AV receiver like the AVC-X3900H – the DRA-900H deliberately stays two-channel.

Our verdict

The DRA-900H is the pragmatic choice for anyone who wants radio, streaming, and TV under one roof, without switching straight to home cinema format. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil we're happy to show you how it fits into your existing system.

Frequently asked questions

Does the DRA-900H have a built-in radio receiver?
Yes, both FM and DAB+ are built in, including supplied antennas. Internet radio also runs via HEOS – for DAB+/FM you no longer need a separate radio.

Can I use the DRA-900H as an HDMI switching center for my TV?
Yes, six HDMI inputs with 8K pass-through and an eARC output make it the central hub for console, streaming box, and Blu-ray player, while sound runs through your speakers instead of the TV's own speakers.

Does the DRA-900H work entirely without a streaming subscription?
Yes. FM, DAB+, a turntable on the phono preamp, or a source on the digital inputs all run entirely without a subscription. HEOS streaming services are an additional option.

Is the DRA-900H also suitable for home cinema with height speakers?
No, it deliberately stays two-channel (plus subwoofer). For Dolby Atmos and genuine multi-channel sound, an AV receiver like the Denon AVC-X3900H is the right choice.

Why buy the Denon DRA-900H at HD Zürisee?
Because a device with this many functions deserves careful setup – Wi-Fi, HDMI wiring, and antennas need to sit correctly. We advise you personally and, on request, take care of installation through our technician Mauri.

Goes well with

Combine the DRA-900H with bookshelf speakers or floorstanding speakers, plus a matching HDMI cable for the full 8K pass-through. More in the streaming amplifiers range.
