The Sonoro Prestige is a compact 2-way all-in-one music system with a built-in 4-inch subwoofer, slot-in CD player, DAB+/internet radio, Bluetooth (aptX) and streaming. It's for anyone who wants powerful stereo sound with CD and a full range of sources in a slim cabinet.

Why the Prestige?

Because it packs a lot of system into a small footprint. Two coaxial speakers and a built-in 4-inch subwoofer deliver lively stereo sound with real depth – unusual for a unit this size. A latest-generation DSP keeps the sound clean, the slot-in CD player plays your discs directly, and via the optical input the Prestige becomes a smart TV sound centre. What you hear and get

A full range of sources: over 25,000 internet radio stations, DAB+/FM, CD, podcasts and streaming via Spotify Connect, Amazon Music and Deezer, plus Bluetooth with aptX. Thanks to bidirectional Bluetooth, you can also send the sound to wireless headphones. Control it on the unit, with the remote or via the app; the automatically dimming 2.8-inch colour display stays easy to read throughout. Alarm, snooze and sleep-timer functions make it a clever companion in the bedroom too.

Who's the Prestige suited for – and who isn't it for?

Ideal for anyone looking for a full-fledged compact system with CD and noticeable bass – for the living room, bedroom or office. Honest take: if you want the big 2.1 presentation with a full-size subwoofer, go for the Meisterstück Gen.2; if you don't need CD and prefer it even slimmer, go for the Elite. But as a bass-strong compact system with CD, the Prestige hits exactly the middle ground.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Prestige really have a subwoofer?

Yes, a built-in 4-inch subwoofer in addition to the two coaxial speakers. This gives noticeably more depth than purely full-range compact systems – despite the slim build.

Does it play CDs?

Yes, via a slot-in CD player (CD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3-CD, WMA) with repeat and shuffle functions. That means the Prestige combines CD, radio and streaming in one unit.

Can I connect it to my TV?

Yes, via the optical digital input (or RCA AUX). This gives the Prestige noticeably better TV sound than most television speakers. It doesn't have an HDMI connection, though – you'll find that on the Meisterstück Gen.2.

Which streaming services are supported?

Spotify Connect, Amazon Music and Deezer, as well as Bluetooth aptX, plus internet radio and DAB+. As a Qobuz Hi-Fi partner since 2018, we're happy to advise you on the right service.
