Ortofon 2M Screws – Mounting Screws

The Ortofon 2M Screws are mounting screws for fitting 2M cartridges to the headshell – two screws M2.5 × 5 mm and two screws M2.5 × 7 mm.

Screws are small, like to roll under the record shelf and are always missing exactly when the cartridge is to be mounted. Five francs is good insurance against that.

Why the 2M Screws?

The two lengths cover different headshell thicknesses: the shorter fits thinner headshells, the longer is for when extra material sits between cartridge and headshell. So you have the right screw for most set-ups instead of guessing at the hardware store.
