The Yamaha TT-S303 brings back the Yamaha turntable: belt drive, die-cast aluminium platter and a switchable phono preamp on board. That lets you connect it either to a phono input or directly to a line input or active speakers.
The straight, statically balanced tonearm carries a pre-mounted MM cartridge – unpack, adjust the counterweight, start spinning. The external DC power supply keeps interference away from the signal.
Straight talk
The TT-S303 is an honest entry-to-mid-range deck with the convenience of a built-in phono stage. Sonically it performs best when you bypass the internal phono preamp and use an external one – there's audibly more on offer that way. If you plan to upgrade, factor that in. Handling and tonearm are simple, but reliable.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a phono input on my amplifier?
No. Thanks to the switchable phono preamp, you can connect the TT-S303 to a line input or to active speakers as well.
Does it come with a cartridge?
Yes, an MM cartridge is pre-mounted. You only need to set the counterweight and tracking force.
Can I upgrade the sound?
Yes. The biggest gain comes from bypassing the internal phono stage and using an external phono preamp; the MM cartridge can be swapped too.
