Quantity

The Yamaha CD-C603 is a 5-disc CD changer with carousel transport – five albums back to back, without constant disc swapping. With PlayXChange you can swap four CDs while the fifth keeps playing. Pure Direct and a front USB input round out the package.

Via the front USB port it plays MP3, WMA, AAC as well as WAV and FLAC up to 96 kHz/24-bit. The fully opening tray holds all five discs at once. Intelligent Digital Servo and a floating laser pickup ensure stable, clean playback.

Straight talk

The CD-C603 is the right choice if you want long listening sessions without handling discs – parties, background music, whole box sets. If you're after the last bit of audiophile polish for individual albums, a single-disc player like the CD-S303 is the more purist solution. Digitally, the C603 outputs only optically – there's no coaxial digital output.
