The revision is in the details. A newly developed piano-wire suspension mechanism increases tracking accuracy, and the slightly firmer dynamic compliance gives a fuller foundation in the bass and lower mids. The body combines zinc die-cast, aluminum, and high-strength polymer – three materials with different damping behavior that spread resonances across the body instead of concentrating them at one point. Two separate PCOCC copper coils for left and right sit right at the cantilever's pivot point and keep the channels cleanly apart. Sounds like nitpicking at the milligram level – but that's exactly where it's decided, on an MC, whether it sings or just plays.
