Ist der Loewe Stellar 97 DR+ gut zum Gamen?

Ja.

Wer echtes Mehrkanal-Heimkino will, ergänzt später gezielt.

The Loewe Stellar 97 DR+ is a 97-inch OLED TV with a META panel, an integrated 300-watt sound system, and an aluminium housing just 70 millimetres thin – home cinema scale in the form factor of a picture on the wall.

Not a bulky giant TV, but a calm, black-finished aluminium surface that only stands out once it lights up. Developed and manufactured at Loewe's home site in Germany – thought through down to the last cable route.

Why the Loewe Stellar 97 DR+?

Because 97 inches of OLED bring cinema into the living room – no projector, no darkened room. The OLED META panel controls every pixel individually and delivers the deep, light-free black level OLED stands for, factory-calibrated. On a screen this size, a football match becomes a stadium and a film becomes a show.

What you get

An integrated 300-watt sound system that carries this screen size acoustically too – voices, effects, and bass come with real force straight from the TV itself, not from a thin plastic speaker. The built-in DR+ recorder with a 1TB SSD records silently and freezes the running programme if guests ring the bell earlier than announced. Two full-featured HDMI 2.1 inputs take console and source devices, plus Vidaa U9 with all the major apps on board – all in a housing just 70 millimetres thin that sits flush with the wall like a large-format picture.

Who is the Stellar 97 DR+ for?

For anyone who wants real OLED cinema instead of a projector and screen – with full picture quality even in daylight. Plain talk: 97 inches is a statement. You need the right wall, the right viewing distance, and professional installation – nobody hangs this format alone, just like that. That's exactly where we come in.

Our verdict

The Stellar 97 DR+ is home cinema without compromise: a gigantic OLED picture, serious 300-watt sound, and a design that lets the technology disappear. Honestly – once you've watched 97 inches of OLED, every other TV is measured against it.

Awarded: Red Dot Design Award (Product Design 2025) for stellar 83 & 97, plus the iF Design Award 2024.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Loewe Stellar 97 DR+ good for gaming?
Yes. The OLED panel runs at up to 144 Hz with VRR, plus two full-featured HDMI 2.1 inputs and ALLM. At 97 inches, every session becomes an experience – smooth, sharp, and with the responsive motion handling OLED is known for.

Is the built-in sound enough, or do I need a soundbar?
For most rooms it's more than enough: the integrated 300-watt sound system fills even large living rooms with voices, effects, and bass – a soundbar isn't required here. If you want true multi-channel home cinema, you can add one later in a targeted way. We're happy to help you figure out what fits your room.

Which operating system does this Stellar 97 DR+ use?
It runs Loewe os9 based on Vidaa U9. Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, YouTube, and more are on board and respond quickly, without any extra box. It also runs entirely without a streaming subscription via antenna, cable, satellite, and home network.

Can I record programmes with the Stellar 97 DR+?
Yes. The integrated DR+ recorder with a 1TB SSD records silently and holds the running programme via Timeshift. With the dual tuner (DVB-T2/C/S2) you can record and watch in parallel – so you never miss anything when life gets in the way.

Why buy the Loewe Stellar 97 DR+ at HD Zürisee?
Because a 97-inch OLED doesn't fit in a car boot, and it certainly doesn't go on the wall by itself. As an authorised Loewe dealer in Wädenswil, we plan the wall, viewing distance, and connections with you, deliver, and mount it professionally – with a 5-year on-site warranty and our own technician Mauri.
