The Sonox Q80 is a slim 2-way floorstanding speaker column with a sealed Acoustic Suspension enclosure that delivers clean, deep bass even close to a wall or in room corners.

It's the bigger sibling of the Q30: more volume, more authority – developed by the Swiss manufacturer ROWEN across three generations of speaker building.

Why the Sonox Q80?

The sealed subwoofer system ("Acoustic Suspension") delivers deep, precise bass without the typical bass-reflex boom – that's why you can place the column in a corner or right up against a wall without the sound suffering. Up top, the 18mm ROWEN fabric dome tweeter system resolves fine detail from 4,300 Hz, while below it, an ultra-fast, wide-bandwidth bass/mid system delivers excellent spatial imaging and high coherence.

What you hear

A wide soundstage, clear voices, and a powerful, dry bass down to 29 Hz – a sound that feels a size bigger than the slim column suggests. The oak finish also brings a warm, homely touch to the room.

Who is the Sonox Q80 for?

For living rooms that want genuine floorstanding sound but have little floor space – the column is slim and easy to place. Straight talk: the Q80 is a passive speaker, so you'll need an amplifier. Wall mount and floor stands are available as optional accessories separately; but the compact build isn't designed for full concert-hall levels.
