The Paradigm MilleniaSub is an active, sealed slimline subwoofer with two opposing flat drivers in a bipolar arrangement and 300 watts of Class D power. Its slender aluminum enclosure fits where a classic cube subwoofer never could – behind the sofa, next to the sideboard, or on the wall.
Why the MilleniaSub?
Most subwoofers force you to compromise between sound and living room. The MilleniaSub doesn't. Two flat drivers fire back-to-back in opposite directions – this bipolar arrangement cancels out cabinet vibration, so nothing rattles and the sub can stand almost anywhere. The extruded aluminum enclosure is barely 15 cm deep. Sounds like style over substance, but it's actually reference-grade engineering: the two 14-inch flat drivers together move as much air as a classic 20 cm driver.
What you'll hear
Clean, fast bass down to 24 Hz – no booming rumble, just precise depth that suits the music. The sealed principle (acoustic suspension) provides the necessary control, and a digital signal processor doles out the 300 watts. For the final polish, the Perfect Bass Kit lets you measure the room and smooth the frequency response. The result is a subwoofer you hear but don't see.
Who's the MilleniaSub for? (and who isn't it for — straight talk)
For anyone who cares as much about placement and design as about bass: small to medium rooms, music first, and living rooms where no block should be standing around. Straight talk: if you want home-cinema level that makes the sofa shake, a Defiance X or Seismic simply delivers more brute force. The MilleniaSub trades a bit of maximum output for the ability to vanish into the room. For music and understated home cinema, that's an excellent deal – for the very biggest cinema punch, it isn't the specialist.
Our verdict
The MilleniaSub is the elegant answer to the question of how serious bass gets into your living room without dominating it. Flat, flexibly placed, low-vibration and clean in tone – a reference sub for the design-conscious. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil, we'll show you where it sounds best in your room and how it fits into your system – including on-site calibration if you like.

Frequently asked questions
Where can I place the MilleniaSub?
Nearly anywhere. Thanks to the flat enclosure and the bipolar drivers, which cancel out vibration between themselves, it stands stably behind the sofa, next to a piece of furniture, or vertically on the included stand. With the optional wall mount, it can also be mounted on the wall. Try several positions – the best bass spot is often surprising.
How much level does the MilleniaSub deliver?
With 300 watts RMS it delivers clean, deep bass down to 24 Hz, ideal for music and understated home cinema. It's built for precision and flexible placement, not maximum volume. If you want a big home cinema that shakes the sofa, a Defiance X or Seismic delivers more punch – the MilleniaSub scores instead on style and space savings.
Do I need extra accessories for the MilleniaSub?
No, it works right away wired via the RCA input. Optionally, there's the Perfect Bass Kit for room calibration via USB and a Paradigm wireless transmitter for a cordless connection. The stand and feet for both orientations are already included; only the wall mount is separate.
Is the MilleniaSub suited to music or home cinema?
Both – with a soft spot for the musical. The sealed principle delivers the dry, fast bass that music likes, and it rounds out the foundation in home cinema too. Its real strength shows where a normal subwoofer simply wouldn't find the space.
