Why the C-MARC Classic?

The Classic uses 384 individually lacquered copper strands of 0.125mm per pole, counter-wound in spirals around a cotton core, with mercerised cotton between the layers as well. For every clockwise winding there's an exactly mirrored counterpart – common-mode interference picked up cancels itself out as a result. With a total cross-section of 14.14mm², it offers double the copper of the Prime without becoming stiff.

Who's the C-MARC Classic for?

For integrated amplifiers, power amps, and power filters – anywhere current is needed in larger amounts. Also for anyone who wants to cable their whole system consistently. Honestly: on a frugal streamer, the Prime is often already sufficient – there, the Classic isn't strictly necessary.

What's the difference between C-MARC Prime and Classic?

The Classic has double the copper cross-section of the Prime at 14.14mm², plus additional cotton interlayers. It's designed primarily for current-hungry devices such as amplifiers. The Prime is the more affordable choice for sources with low current draw.

Is the Classic Entropic Process worth it over the Classic?

Construction and cross-section are identical; the Entropic Process version additionally goes through LessLoss's own break-in process and, according to the manufacturer, sounds more mature from the start. Whether that's worth the extra cost to you depends on your system and your ears – we're happy to advise you on it.

Does the Schuko plug fit a Swiss outlet?

Not directly into a Swiss type T13 wall outlet. The Schuko plug is designed for Schuko sockets, as found on many high-quality hi-fi power strips and power filters. If your device connects directly to the wall, talk to us – we'll check with the Swiss distributor which plug variant is possible.
