What you get

An amplifier that's visually tailored to your room and adds nothing of its own to the sound: open, calm, with firm control in the bass. Connection is via a balanced XLR input and four RCA pairs; preamp outputs on XLR and RCA keep the door open for a further power amp or an active subwoofer. Two pairs of gold-plated binding posts are provided for the speakers.

Does the custom-colour version sound different from black, white or walnut?

No, all four finishes are technically identical. The amplifier circuit, power supply, connections and the 2× 150 W at 8 ohms output stay the same – only the surface of the housing differs. The colour is purely a matter of interior design. The remote control and included accessories are the same too.

Does the AMP-150 AE have streaming, a DAC or a headphone output?

No, none of those. The AMP-150 AE is a purely analog integrated amplifier with no network module, no D/A converter and no headphone jack. Digital sources are added via a separate streamer or DAC, headphones via a dedicated headphone amplifier on the preamp output. Everything in one unit is offered by the DIA-250S NPM and the DIA-400S NPM.

How big and how heavy is the amplifier?
