Eversolo T8 Streaming Transport

The Eversolo T8 is a streaming transport without a built-in DAC. It fetches music from your network and streaming services and passes it on to your external converter via USB, I²S, AES/EBU, coaxial or optical. It was awarded the EISA Digital Player 2026–2027.

The T8 is the more compact variant of the Eversolo transports, with isolated digital outputs, a 4N copper toroidal transformer and a 6-inch touchscreen.

Why the T8?

Because it separates the network side from the converter and gives the DAC a clean digital signal. The outputs are isolated, a femto clock takes care of the timing, and it is Roon Ready too. Spotify Connect Lossless works from firmware V1.5.60, and Qobuz Connect and TIDAL Connect are included as well. Two SSD bays take up to 8 TB each (SSDs not included). Room correction (Evotune) and a 10-band equaliser are built in.

What you hear

The T8 does not sound by itself, it hands the signal over to your DAC. A clean clock and the separation of the circuits are meant to give the converter a calm data stream. The EISA award for 2026–2027 offers orientation, but in the end your own ear decides.

Who is the T8 for?

For anyone who owns a good DAC and is looking for a high-quality source. Plainly put: without a DAC the T8 stays silent, as there is neither a headphone output nor analogue outputs. If you want everything in one device, choose a DMP streamer.

Our verdict

The T8 is an exceptionally well-made transport and the more affordable choice compared with the T10. The combination of isolation, clock and operation also convinced the EISA jury. We are happy to advise you at HD Zürisee on whether it suits your DAC.

Frequently asked questions

Which award has the Eversolo T8 received?

The T8 was awarded the EISA Digital Player 2026–2027. EISA is an association of specialist magazines from Europe and beyond. The award does not replace your own listening test, but it helps with orientation.

Does the T8 need a DAC?

Yes, the T8 has no built-in converter. It passes the digital signal on to your DAC via USB, I²S, AES/EBU, coaxial or optical. So for the analogue part you need another device.

Which streaming services and standards does the T8 support?

It supports Roon Ready, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect and DLNA. Spotify Connect Lossless works from firmware V1.5.60. A subscription is optional, your own collection plays without any service.

How much storage can I use in the T8?

64 GB is available internally, plus two SSD bays with up to 8 TB each. The SSDs are not included. Alternatively, you can use your NAS on your home network.
