Bassocontinuo Accordeon XL4 2.1 Hi-Fi Rack

The Bassocontinuo Accordeon XL4 2.1 is a multi-tier hi-fi rack made from solid stainless steel that can be tuned exactly to your system and room across ten height levels and six finishes.

The Accordeon XL4 2.1 belongs to Bassocontinuo's Reference Line, the Italian manufacturer's top series, and brings its complete technology package: a new tie-rod system braces each shelf mechanically tight against the stainless steel structure, instead of just resting it loosely on top, which makes the rack noticeably calmer. Each level is a solid 30 mm thick, a spirit level integrated into the base helps you align it precisely without extra tools, and every unit carries an NFC chip with an individual serial number for unique registration. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil, we'll walk you through the entire Reference Line in all six finishes and match it to your system.

Who is the Accordeon XL4 2.1 for?

The Accordeon XL4 2.1 is a good fit if you want to house several devices – amplifier, player, turntable, streamer – neatly stacked on top of each other, without skimping on materials. With up to ten selectable height levels, it adapts to devices of different heights, from flat streaming bridges to tall tube amplifiers. If you only need space for a single device, a more compact model like the Bandura 2.1 is the more economical choice.

Our verdict

A well thought-out, cleanly finished foundation for demanding systems: a solid stainless steel base, defined decoupling, fine details like the spirit level and NFC registration. If you're investing in a rack because you can hear what placement makes, this isn't an off-the-shelf piece of furniture, but a technical component of your system.

Frequently asked questions

How many devices fit on the Accordeon XL4 2.1?
That depends on the chosen height combination: with up to ten height levels per tier, several devices of different heights can be stacked on top of each other. How many tiers you need is best discussed with us based on your specific device list.

Which finish is the cheapest?
Nighthawk at 95 mm height is the cheapest configuration at CHF 1,180. Prices increase depending on the finish (Moonstone, Portofino, Stealth, California, Mercurial) and chosen height – the full price list is above under Technical data.

How does decoupling work on the Accordeon XL4 2.1?
Via DSD floor plates: a stainless steel base with an elastomer layer that mechanically absorbs vibrations from the surface before they reach the rack and your devices. That's a genuine decoupler with a defined damping effect, not a simple washer.

What does the NFC chip on the rack mean?
Every Reference Line rack carries an NFC chip with an individual serial number. This lets your unit be uniquely registered and verified if needed – useful for warranty, resale, or simply as proof of authenticity for your rack.
