Argon Audio Solo Network Streamer, White (Each)

The Argon Audio Solo isn't a speaker, but a very compact network streamer with a high-quality DAC: it brings music into your existing system over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and converts it into a clean analogue or digital signal. This lets you retrofit any older amplifier or active speaker with multiroom streaming. Over 100,000 units sold speak for the concept.

Why the Solo?

Inside works a 32-bit ESS Sabre converter (ES9018) that resolves music from your Wi-Fi up to 24-bit/192 kHz. AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Spotify Connect and Roon Ready are built in directly, plus Bluetooth 5.0 as a wireless receiver for phone or tablet. The Solo outputs the signal in analogue via RCA, or digitally via optical or coaxial – whichever your amplifier or DAC expects.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Solo a speaker?

No. The Solo has no drivers of its own – it's a streaming receiver with a DAC that you connect to an existing amplifier or active speaker. It makes that system multiroom- and streaming-capable, but doesn't produce sound itself.

Does the Solo also work without Wi-Fi, with Bluetooth only?

Yes. The Solo also accepts music directly via Bluetooth 5.0 from a phone or tablet if no network access is available or wanted – though then without the network services such as AirPlay or Roon.

Goes well with

An amplifier or active speaker with a free input from the Argon Audio range pairs well with this – the Solo makes practically any existing system streaming-capable.
