The Raidho TD4.2 is a passive 3-way floorstanding speaker in an MTM arrangement with a Raidho ribbon tweeter, two 13 cm Tantalum-Diamond midrange drivers and four 16.5 cm Tantalum-Diamond woofers, handmade in Denmark.

The TD4.2 is Raidho's first genuine MTM design: two midrange drivers sit symmetrically above and below the ribbon tweeter. Sounds like a detail, but it's the reason this 1.58-metre-tall column virtually disappears in the room – acoustically as well as visually, thanks to a front just 20 centimetres wide.

Why the TD4.2?

The MTM arrangement is the real trick. By framing the tweeter symmetrically with two identical midrange drivers, the TD4.2 focuses sound more tightly in the vertical plane – this produces a huge, holographic soundstage while making it surprisingly forgiving to set up. Below, four 16.5 cm Tantalum-Diamond drivers provide a foundation down to 25 Hz, without the slim column ever calling for a subwoofer.

The tweeter and diaphragms are pure Raidho DNA: the updated ribbon tweeter for open, bodiless treble, plus the multi-layer Tantalum-Diamond diaphragms for low distortion right down to the finest detail. Decoupling is via ceramic balls in the feet – no spikes needed.
