The NuPrime SiGa Power75 is a low-noise AC-to-DC power supply that feeds sensitive audio and digital devices with especially clean 12 V and 5 V direct current.

It's the replacement for the cheap wall-wart that comes bundled with many good streamers, switches, and DACs. Instead of a simple switch-mode supply, it houses a SiC/GaN hybrid design with active common-mode noise cancellation (CM-ANC) and RF shielding – faster, more stable, and quieter than typical adapters, and according to NuPrime, cleaner than many a classic linear power supply.

Why the SiGa Power75?

Digital sources are sensitive to their power supply – a noisy power adapter carries interference straight into the device. The SiGa Power75 addresses exactly that: the SiC/GaN hybrid works highly efficiently, the CM-ANC circuit actively cancels common-mode noise, and the RF shielding keeps high-frequency interference at bay. The result is a quiet, stable DC voltage – the foundation on which a streamer or DAC can really resolve.

What you get

Two output voltages – 12 V and 5 V DC – cover a large share of typical audio peripherals: streamers, network switches, DACs, routers, and small devices that would otherwise hang off a run-of-the-mill included adapter. Compact, light, unobtrusive – and yet the building block that makes the foundation cleaner.

Who's the SiGa Power75 for?

For anyone whose streamer, switch, or DAC is powered by an external 12 V or 5 V wall-wart and who wants to swap out that weakest link for something serious. A cheap, effective lever before considering pricier upgrades.

Straight talk: the SiGa Power75 only helps devices with a matching external DC jack – so first check your device's voltage (12 V or 5 V), polarity, and connector. On components with a built-in power supply, it does nothing. And how audible the gain is depends on how mediocre the original power supply was. We'll check with you whether it fits your device.

Our verdict

The SiGa Power75 is a clever piece of engineering: the quiet of a good linear power supply, but small, cool, and efficient. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil, we like it as an affordable entry into clean power supply – especially for streamers and switches that ship with a bargain-bin power adapter from the factory.

Frequently asked questions

Which devices does the SiGa Power75 suit?
Audio and digital devices with external 12 V or 5 V DC supply – typically streamers, network switches, DACs, or routers. Check your device's voltage, polarity, and connector type before buying. Components with a built-in power supply won't benefit.

What does a better power supply bring sonically?
A cleaner DC voltage carries less noise into the device. With sensitive digital sources, this often shows up as a quieter background and finer resolution. How clear the effect is depends on how good or bad the original power supply was.

Is the SiGa Power75 a linear power supply?
No, it's a SiC/GaN hybrid design with active noise cancellation. NuPrime aims for the quiet of a good linear power supply at significantly higher efficiency and a more compact build. It runs cooler and lighter than classic transformer-based supplies.

Can I power multiple devices with it?
The SiGa Power75 provides 12 V and 5 V DC. Whether and how you power two devices at once depends on their connectors and power needs. Tell us which devices you want to run – we'll check compatibility with you.

Why buy the NuPrime SiGa Power75 at HD Zürisee?
Because we first check whether it actually matches your device – voltage, polarity, connector – instead of just selling you a power supply. Andy and Maurizio help with the selection, service runs through our own technician. Call us, write to us, or drop by in Wädenswil.
