KECES Premium DC Cable, 5.5/2.5 to 5.5/2.1 mm

The KECES Premium DC Cable Version 2 is a DC cable with a 2 × 2 mm² cross-section that carries a 5.5/2.5 mm barrel connector on the power-supply side and a 5.5/2.1 mm barrel connector on the device side.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know whether I need 2.1 or 2.5 mm?

Check the manual or nameplate of your device; the connector size is usually stated there as outer and inner diameter. Alternatively, measure the inner pin of the existing socket. If you're unsure, tell us your device and power supply – we'll tell you which version fits.

What happens if the connector doesn't fit exactly?

An inner diameter that's too large sits loose, contact becomes unreliable and can drop out in operation. One that's too small won't fit at all. You want neither on a device that's permanently connected to power – which is why a quick check beforehand pays off.

Which length should I choose?

As short as possible, as long as necessary. Measure the route from the power supply to the device including cable routing and add a bit of margin. A coiled-up excess length in the rack achieves nothing technically and costs unnecessarily – every extra step adds to the price.
