KECES Premium DC Cable, 5.5/2.5 mm on Both Ends
Couldn't load pickup availability
The KECES Premium DC Cable Version 1 is a DC cable with a 2 × 2 mm² cross-section that connects a linear power supply to your device via 5.5/2.5 mm barrel connectors on both ends.
It replaces the thin bundled cable that comes with power supplies and streamers and that undoes most of the effort you just put into buying a good power supply. Brown fabric sleeve, neatly finished, available in five lengths.
Why a better DC cable?
Because the entire current your streamer or DAC needs to work flows between power supply and device – and every millimetre less cross-section comes back as voltage drop. At 2 × 2 mm², this is generously sized for a DC cable; on devices that draw a lot of current in operation, that shows up as a more stable supply. The fabric sleeve keeps the cable flexible and calm in the rack at the same time.
What you get
A cable that matches the investment. If you set up a KECES P6, P9 or P14 and then connect it via the bundled lead, you give away part of the effect. You choose the length when ordering – better a snug fit than a three-metre loop behind the rack.
Who is Version 1 for – and who isn't it for?
Straight talk: Version 1 has the same connector on both ends, 5.5 mm outer and 2.5 mm inner. That matches many KECES power supplies and many streamers – but not all of them. If your device needs a 2.1 mm pin, Version 2 is the right one. When in doubt: measure quickly or ask us before ordering.
Our verdict
Unspectacular, yet important: the link people most often skimp on when upgrading. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil, we check connector size, polarity and length with you – three details that go wrong faster than you'd think.

Frequently asked questions
Which connector size does my device need?
Two dimensions matter: outer diameter and inner pin. Version 1 has 5.5 mm outer and 2.5 mm inner on both ends. If your device's manual states 2.1 mm, you need Version 2. If you're unsure, tell us your power supply and device – we'll clarify it.
Does a thicker DC cable really make a difference?
For devices with meaningful current draw, yes, because less voltage is lost on the way and the supply stays more stable. For a small consumer at 0.5 amps, the effect is minor. We'll tell you honestly which category your device falls into.
Which length should I choose?
As short as possible, as long as necessary. Measure the route from the power supply to the device including cable routing and add a bit of margin. A coiled-up excess length in the rack is neither pretty nor technically useful – and every extra length costs unnecessarily.
Why buy the KECES Premium DC Cable at HD Zürisee?
Because with DC cables, connector, polarity and length all have to be right, and a wrong purchase here is especially annoying. We go through the three points with you before you order. Call, write, or use WhatsApp.
