The Cabasse The Pearl Akoya Speaker Stand in Black is a single stand made of aluminium and steel that brings the spherical Akoya up to 70 centimetres of listening height.

Cabasse didn't just source it from somewhere else – it's designed for this exact speaker: two slim, round columns on a solid steel base, finished in matte black, with all cables routed inside. One detail up front, because it regularly causes questions on our end – the stand comes as a single unit, not as a pair. For stereo, you need two.

Why this stand?

The Akoya is a sphere with a coaxial driver. It sounds most balanced when its centre sits roughly at ear height and nothing in the immediate surroundings resonates along with it. A sideboard rarely delivers either: it usually sits too low and doubles as a resonating board.

This stand solves that without any tinkering. 70 centimetres of height, a round steel base 25 centimetres in diameter as a counterweight, and round rather than angular columns, on which hard reflections don't even get a chance to form. Because the columns are hollow, power cables – and Ethernet or RCA cables if needed – disappear invisibly downward. A matching power cable is included, as is the complete mounting hardware including an Allen key.

Who is the Akoya stand for?

Does the stand come as a single unit or a pair?

Single unit. Cabasse sells the Akoya stand per piece – matching the fact that the speaker itself is also offered singly. If you run two Akoya in stereo, you accordingly need two stands. That way you only pay for what you actually set up.

Does the stand also fit the larger The Pearl?

No. This stand is built exclusively for the Cabasse The Pearl Akoya, and its cradle is matched to that model's sphere diameter. The Pearl has its own, larger stand. We'd advise against modifying it for other spherical speakers – standing stability isn't a detail here.

Can I hide the cables inside the stand?

Yes. Both stand columns are hollow, and you route the power cable – and an Ethernet or RCA cable if needed – down through the inside. Cabasse even includes a matching power cable and a pair of tweezers for threading it. In the end, only the short stretch between base and wall socket stays visible.
