The Bluesound Pulse Flex 2025 is a compact active speaker with an integrated BluOS network player that plays music up to 24-bit/192kHz wirelessly or over a network cable.
In white, it's the speaker guests only notice once music is playing. And usually with the question of where the big speaker is — a compliment a 10-centimetre woofer backed by 50 watts is happy to accept.
Why the Pulse Flex 2025?
Because it bridges the gap between a wireless speaker and a real system. BluOS is the same platform found in Bluesound's bigger units: over 20 streaming services, internet radio, music files from your network, all in one app and at a quality that doesn't stop at 24-bit/192kHz. Two Flex units form a stereo pair, several units a synchronously playing multiroom system.
What you get
MQA decoding, DSD256, Bluetooth 5.3 with aptX HD, dual-band Wi-Fi 5 and a Gigabit network port. The 3.5mm combo jack brings analogue and optical sources on board, and the Toslink adapter is included — so the TV in the bedroom gets a connection too. You can control it via the BluOS app, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Roon, or the buttons on the unit. If you need more low-end foundation, a Pulse Sub+ joins wirelessly.
Who is the Pulse Flex 2025 for?
For the kitchen, bathroom, office, bedroom, and for anyone who doesn't want to buy a whole multiroom system in one day. Honestly, it's not for a large open living space — a Pulse 2i plays with noticeably more authority there. Also worth knowing: this model has neither a battery nor a battery option, and no IP rating. It's an indoor speaker with a mains connection, not a garden companion.
Our verdict
Small in size, grown-up in software: the Pulse Flex 2025 in White is the most sensible way to spread BluOS through the house without sinking the whole budget into one unit. Solid build, clear operation, honest sound for its size. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil we'll help you with the network and with working out which unit really makes sense in which room.

Frequently asked questions
Can the Pulse Flex 2025 run on a battery?
No. The Pulse Flex 2025 is designed exclusively for mains operation, and Bluesound doesn't offer a battery pack for this model. The earlier BP100 accessory was only compatible with the original Pulse Flex and the Flex 2i, and doesn't fit here.
Can I connect a TV to the Pulse Flex 2025?
Yes, via the 3.5mm combo jack. It accepts analogue signals and, via the included Toslink mini adapter, a TV's optical digital output too. For a proper TV sound experience in the living room, though, a soundbar is the better choice.
How many Pulse Flex units can I combine?
Two units can be paired into a stereo pair with left and right channels. Beyond that, you group as many Bluesound units as you like into a synchronous multiroom system in the BluOS app — even across models and colours.
Does the Pulse Flex 2025 work without a streaming subscription?
Yes. Internet radio, music from network storage, and Bluetooth run without any subscription. Paid services like Spotify, TIDAL or Qobuz can be added if you want them. So the speaker is fully usable even without ongoing costs.
