The Advance Paris A10 ClassicLine is a hybrid integrated amplifier that combines an ECC81 tube preamp with a Class AB power stage delivering 2 × 130 watts into 8 ohms, an ESS 9018 DAC, and HDMI ARC. It's the model that first makes Advance Paris's tube-hybrid philosophy affordable for many – without sounding like an entry-level product.
Why the A10 ClassicLine?
Behind the glass window on the front, real ECC81 tubes glow – and that's not mood lighting: the tube preamp gives voices and instruments a warmth and body that's hard to find elsewhere in this price class. At the same time, the powerful amp stage – trimmed for especially refined partial-load operation via the Hi-Bias switch when needed – delivers enough reserves for full-size floorstanding speakers. Preamp and power amp can be separated, in case you want to go your own way later.
What you get
Six analog RCA inputs, a balanced XLR input and an MM phono stage for your turntable – plus digital HDMI ARC for the TV, a second HDMI audio input, three optical and one coaxial input, and USB-B for your computer, all converted by the ESS 9018 DAC. Via USB-A, the A10 plays MP3 files straight from a stick. Two mono subwoofer outputs with low-pass filter, Rec-Out, two switchable speaker zones and VU meters with genuine stage presence round out the package. You can add Bluetooth as needed via the optional Advance dongle (X-FTB01/X-FTB02) on the 5-volt output. A streaming subscription? You don't need one: vinyl, CD, TV and computer all play without any ongoing cost.
Who is the A10 ClassicLine right for – and who isn't it right for?
Honestly: at 14.5 kilos and almost 39 centimeters deep, this isn't a device for a narrow wall shelf, and tubes want airflow, not a closed cabinet. If you're after everything in one box including network streaming, you're better served by the MyConnect family. And if you like listening on headphones in the evening, you should know: the A10 ClassicLine has no headphone jack – instead, a separate headphone amp connects to the Pre-Out. But if you want classic hi-fi with tube charm, plenty of power, and modern TV connectivity, you get remarkably much amplifier for the money here.

Frequently asked questions
Does the A10 ClassicLine have real tubes?
Yes, real ECC81 tubes work in the preamp, visible behind the front window. They audibly shape the sound character – warmer and more spacious than pure transistor devices – while the Class AB power stage provides power and control. The brief warm-up phase after switching on is part of the ritual.
Can I connect my TV to the A10 ClassicLine?
Yes, via HDMI ARC the TV sound runs through your stereo system with a single cable, and you control the volume with the TV remote. A second HDMI audio input plus optical and coaxial inputs are also available. Movies and sports gain noticeably compared to any TV speaker.
Is 2 × 130 watts enough for my speakers?
For the vast majority of bookshelf and floorstanding speakers: yes, easily – at 4 ohms, 2 × 190 watts are even available. The wattage matters less than the combination of speaker, room size, and listening habits. Tell us your model, and we'll give you an honest assessment.
Can I connect headphones to the A10 ClassicLine?
No, the A10 ClassicLine doesn't have a headphone jack. For headphones, connect a separate headphone amp to the Pre-Out or Rec-Out – sonically that's the better solution anyway. We're happy to discuss which headphone amp suits your model.
