The Vincent SV-600 is a fully balanced stereo integrated amplifier with a Class A portion that combines 2 × 200 watts, a D/A converter, HDMI ARC and Bluetooth in a solidLine 2.0 chassis.
No tube glows here: the SV-600 is a pure transistor amplifier in which the first 10 watts per channel run in Class A. Instead, two VU meters let you watch it work – and that is honestly the nicer show.
Why the SV-600?
Because it brings power and fine detail together. An FET differential input stage with a common-base stage behind it works fully balanced and, according to the manufacturer, reacts quickly, cleanly and stays stable even with demanding loads. Behind it sit 16 high-power transistors, a toroidal transformer and 40,000 µF of reservoir capacitance. That gives 2 × 200 watts into 8 ohms and 2 × 306 watts into 4 ohms – enough reserve that even a large living room won't leave it out of breath.
What you get
- Fully balanced integrated amplifier in pure transistor technology, the first 10 watts per channel in Class A
- 2 × 200 watts into 8 ohms, 2 × 306 watts into 4 ohms
- Five RCA inputs, one balanced XLR input and two main-in inputs
- Built-in D/A converter with optical, coaxial and HDMI ARC input
- Bluetooth for your smartphone, external antenna included
- Two VU meters with switchable illumination colour
- Pre-out and two speaker pairs (A/B)
- VRC-17 remote control included
Who is the SV-600 for?
For anyone looking for a powerful, calm and clean-sounding integrated amplifier with room for a streamer, CD player, TV and smartphone at the same time. The HDMI ARC input brings TV sound into your system, and the XLR input serves balanced sources.
Honestly: the SV-600 has no phono input, no headphone output and no tone control. A turntable needs a phono preamp, and the HDMI input works without CEC – so you adjust the volume on the Vincent remote, not the TV remote. At 21.9 kilos and 448 mm deep, it also needs a sturdy, well-ventilated shelf.
Our verdict
The SV-600 is the powerful all-rounder of the new solidLine 2.0: transistor technology with a Class A portion, connections from XLR to HDMI ARC and reserves for almost any speaker. If you don't need the tube warmth of the hybrid models, you get a great deal of amplifier here. Which speakers suit it and whether your room can carry the 22 kilos, we're happy to clarify. Frequently asked questions
Does the Vincent SV-600 have a built-in D/A converter?
Yes. The SV-600 has a D/A converter that you feed through an optical, a coaxial and an HDMI ARC input, for example from a streamer, CD player or TV. So you don't need a separate converter for these digital sources. Bluetooth is on board too, but network streaming over Wi-Fi or LAN is not.
Can I connect my TV to the SV-600?
Yes, via the HDMI ARC input the TV sound plays directly through your system. The input works without CEC: you therefore adjust the volume on the Vincent remote rather than the TV remote. Alternatively you can use the optical input. We're happy to help with the setup.
Does the SV-600 have a phono input or a headphone output?
No, neither, and there is no tone control either – the SV-600 relies on a straight signal path. A turntable without a built-in preamp connects through a phono preamp to an RCA input. For headphones you need a separate headphone amplifier. That keeps the signal path short and the operation simple.
Which speakers can the Vincent SV-600 drive?
With 2 × 200 watts into 8 ohms and 2 × 306 watts into 4 ohms, it confidently drives even demanding floorstanding speakers. A single speaker pair should be at least 4 ohms, and at least 8 ohms when running A and B at the same time. We're happy to discuss which models suit you sonically.
