The Ruark Audio R410 Anniversary Edition is an all-in-one music system limited to 500 units worldwide, combining streaming, internet and DAB+ radio, HDMI TV sound, a phono input, amplifier and speakers in a single cabinet of light white oak.
Ruark turns 40 and celebrates the way a British hi-fi maker should: not with confetti, but with wood. In this edition the Ruark R410 wears a handcrafted oak finish, a blackened front grille and an inset metal badge reading “40 – 1986–2026”. Only 500 units are made worldwide.
Why the R410 Anniversary Edition?
Under the veneer sits what makes the Ruark R410 a full-grown hi-fi system: a fully active Class-D amplifier with 120 watts, two 100 mm NS+ bass/midrange drivers and two 20 mm silk-dome tweeters in a twin-port bass-reflex cabinet. The Burr-Brown converter works at 32 bit / 192 kHz, and you control everything with the RotoDial on the unit and the rechargeable remote.
Connectivity leaves little to be desired: HDMI ARC/eARC for your TV, an MM phono input for your turntable, optical, line-in, USB-C and a subwoofer output. Streaming runs via Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Apple AirPlay 2 and Google Cast, plus internet radio, DAB/DAB+ and FM.
What you hear and see
Sonically, the Anniversary Edition is an R410: full, clean and with real bass foundation down to 40 Hz in the room. The switchable Stereo+ function widens the soundstage when the unit sits close to a wall, and via the subwoofer output you can add more depth if you like, for example with the Ruark RS1. The trade press praised the technically identical R410, with What Hi-Fi? awarding five out of five stars for sound, build and features.
What is new is the look: the light white oak with its lively grain, the dark grille and the ebonised inlay look like a piece of furniture that happens to play superbly. On a sideboard it stands out without shouting.
Who is the R410 Anniversary Edition for?
For anyone who wants a Ruark R410 but doesn’t want to settle for the standard catalogue: collectors, design fans, loyal Ruark followers, and people who want to put something special in the living room for a brand’s 40th birthday. Hand on heart: once you’ve said oak, you usually don’t want another colour.
Plain speaking, who it is not for: if you only want the technology, the regular R410 (black, light grey, walnut) is cheaper and the technology is the same. There is no built-in CD drive, and no dedicated control app; you control it through the native streaming apps, the RotoDial and the remote.
Our verdict
The Ruark R410 Anniversary Edition is the familiar, award-winning all-in-one in its most beautiful dress, limited to 500 units. If you want a complete stereo system that looks good, plays properly and tells a story, this is exactly what you get.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Ruark R410 Anniversary Edition?
The R410 Anniversary Edition is the anniversary version of the Ruark R410, limited to 500 units worldwide, marking 40 years of Ruark Audio. It comes in light white oak with a blackened front grille, an ebonised inlay and an anniversary badge. The technology matches the regular R410.
How does the Anniversary Edition differ from the regular R410?
Mainly in looks: a handcrafted white oak veneer cabinet, a blackened front grille, an ebonised inlay and the “40 – 1986–2026” badge. Amplifier, speakers, connections and streaming features match the R410. So you pay for wood, craftsmanship and rarity, not extra technology, and that is exactly the appeal of this edition.
Can I connect the R410 Anniversary Edition to a TV and a turntable?
Yes, both. The TV connects via HDMI ARC/eARC, and a turntable with a moving-magnet cartridge plugs straight into the built-in MM phono input, so no separate phono preamp is needed. You also get an optical input, line-in, USB-C and a subwoofer output for later expansion.
Does the R410 Anniversary Edition play CDs?
Not directly, the unit has no drive. Ruark offers a matching R-CD100 CD player for this, which is also appearing in a limited version for the anniversary edition. Whether and when it will be available in Switzerland, we are happy to find out for you, just write to us.
Which streaming services does the R410 Anniversary Edition support?
Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and Qobuz Connect are built in, plus Apple AirPlay 2 and Google Cast for other services and multiroom. Internet radio, DAB/DAB+ and FM are included as well. A streaming subscription is not required: radio, USB files and a turntable work without one.
Why buy the Ruark R410 Anniversary Edition at HD Zürisee?
