The Club is the finest of the classic MKII styli: instead of spherical, it tracks with a Special Elliptical grind (r/R 13/25 µm) that reaches deeper into the groove and pulls out more detail than a round-nose diamond. Is the Stylus MKII Club a complete stylus or just the diamond?

A complete stylus unit. On the Concorde system, the whole stylus unit with diamond and cantilever sits at the front of the body and is replaced as a whole – no gluing individual diamonds, no tools. Pull the old unit off, click the new one on, keep playing.

When should I replace the stylus?

As soon as the sound turns dull, distortion appears, or the stylus looks visibly worn. As a rough guide, a few hundred hours depending on use. A worn stylus doesn't just sound worse – it can damage your records, so when in doubt, replace it sooner rather than later.
