NuPrime Pure AC-6 Power Conditioner Power Strip

The NuPrime Pure AC-6 is a high-quality power conditioner strip and AC power conditioner with six outlets that supplies your whole hi-fi system with filtered, low-noise power.

It is more than a multi-socket strip: a multi-stage filter topology keeps electromagnetic (EMI) and high-frequency interference (RFI) out of the power supply. Whether this turns into a darker background and more detail depends on your mains and your chain – sometimes it is clear, sometimes subtle.

Why the Pure AC-6?

Clean power is the invisible foundation of every system. The Pure AC-6 reduces AC noise by over 20 dB (5th-order LC filter) and filters in three separate filter banks: two high-power slots for power-hungry devices such as power amplifiers, four low-power slots for sensitive sources such as DAC and streamer. The names only describe the filtering – current and voltage are the same at all outlets.

NuPrime puts the Pure series under the motto "Power, refined.". The AC-6 is the large distribution station for complete chains. And because, as NuPrime itself says, it is no miracle cure: the audible effect is system-dependent.

Who is the Pure AC-6 for?

Also sensible where the mains seems suspiciously polluted (harsh sound, imprecise bass, a background never quite black) – although such impressions can also have entirely different causes.

Plain talk: A power conditioner does not replace a good system and does not conjure up missing detail – it tidies up the interference the mains brings in. How clearly the effect shows depends on your mains and your components. The protection is rated at 15 A; for very large power amplifier pairs we are happy to plan the distribution together with you. The outlets are Schuko (EU version): that fits the plugs of most hi-fi devices; with Swiss T13 plugs you plan for an adapter depending on the device.
