The NuPrime Evolution TWO-SE is a mono power amplifier (monoblock) that amplifies exactly one channel per chassis with uncompromising authority.
It is the choice for listeners who want unshakable control in a modern, cool-running hybrid Class-D design.
Why the Evolution TWO-SE?
At its center is the massively improved ODC circuit («Only Distortion Cancellation») – an error correction that cleans the signal in real time. The result is a distortion of just 0.001 percent at 5 watts, a figure that touches the limit of what can be measured. A 900-watt ultra-thin toroidal transformer and new power MOSFETs with, according to the manufacturer, triple the peak current make it unshakable even on low-impedance loads.
NuPrime describes the Evolution series as a reference: detailed, wide, relaxed. The TWO-SE is the powerhouse building block in it – intended for systems where the power amplifier should not be the bottleneck.
What you get
Thanks to 48,400 µF of filter capacitance per channel, the TWO-SE reacts extremely dynamically. On large orchestral recordings, listen for the micro-details: the creak of a pedal, the breathing of the musicians – nothing is artificially emphasized, everything is simply naturally there, because the amplifier adds no sound of its own. The CNC-machined aluminum heat sink is not decoration, but keeps the power amplifier thermally stable under continuous load.
It connects balanced (XLR) or unbalanced (RCA); speaker terminals and a trigger connection, with which the monos switch on and off together with the preamplifier, are included.

Who is the Evolution TWO-SE for – and who is it not for?
With 300 watts into 8 ohms, 600 watts into 4 ohms and up to 820 watts peak, the monoblock pair tames even capacitive loads that make other amplifiers despair. Plain talk: you get an honest picture of your system. If you are looking for warmth through artificial distortion, this is not for you. If you want the pure truth and absolute control, you have arrived. And one more word on practicalities: each monoblock weighs 10.5 kg – your rack should know that before you order.
Our verdict
A reference tool for people who are serious: the speed of a racing car, the composure of a tank. The blackness of the background is especially convincing – in this price class the noise-optimized transformer sets the standard. For stereo you need two units; in return you get a channel separation that has no equal.

FAQ
Do I need two Evolution TWO-SE for stereo?
Yes. The TWO-SE is a true mono design – each unit amplifies exactly one channel. For stereo you therefore need a pair. The reward is perfect channel separation without any crosstalk and a correspondingly stable, large spatial image.
What is the difference between the Evolution TWO and TWO-SE?
The Special Edition brings an optimized ODC circuit with roughly ten times better interference suppression, military-grade precision resistors for more resolution and new MOSFETs that deliver significantly more current to critical speakers.
How does the TWO-SE behave on very low-impedance speakers?
Superbly. It was expressly optimized for 2-ohm loads. Even when the impedance of your speakers drops sharply in certain frequency ranges, the TWO-SE loses neither control nor sonic purity – up to 600 watts into 4 ohms.
For which speakers is a monoblock pair like this worthwhile?
Above all for large, demanding or electrically tricky speakers such as electrostatics. Whether your speakers really need this much power amplifier, we will tell you honestly at HD Zürisee in Wädenswil – sometimes less is enough, sometimes the pair is exactly right.
Why buy the NuPrime Evolution TWO-SE at HD Zürisee?
Because mono power amplifiers deserve advice: we listen closely to which preamplifier, which speakers and which cabling harmonize with the monos. Our own technician for setup and calibration, authorized specialist dealer, proper warranty. Get in touch – we think along with you.
Goes well with
The TWO-SE is the power amplifier on which the system should not fail – this is how it grows around it:
- Second monoblock: For stereo you need two TWO-SE. Two monoblocks also mean two power cables – plan the power strip right away.
- Preamplifier & source: In front of it belongs a preamplifier. If you listen digitally, the Evolution series has the DAC-2, which combines converter and preamplifier (DAC); a streamer or music server such as the Evolution Stream Server (music server) serves as the source.
- Power: The Pure AC-6 power conditioner from the NuPrime Power series sorts out the power supply of power amplifiers and sources in separate filter banks. Honestly speaking: how audible that is depends on the rest of the system and your mains – we are happy to look at that with you. High-quality power cables go well with it.
- Speakers & connection: Demanding speakers are the logical counterpart, XLR connections (XLR cables) the clean way there – we advise you honestly on the combination.
