Yamaha HEP-5000 – Replacement and Tuning Ear Pads for the YH Series
Ear pads are no minor detail on a headphone – they're a sound-tuning tool. Yamaha offers three materials for the YH-5000SE and YH-4000, each with its own character. Use them to refresh worn pads or deliberately retune the sound.
The Three Versions
- HEP-5000LE – Leather: Sheepskin leather with perforated synthetic leather inside. Gives the bass more body and contour, very good soundstage.
- HEP-5000LS – Leather/Suede Hybrid: A combination of PU leather and suede, approx. 30 g. Balanced between body and openness – the YH-4000's standard pad.
- HEP-5000SU – Suede: TORAY Ultrasuede®, soft and breathable. Sounds leaner, warmer and more relaxed, ideal for long sessions.
Compatibility
All three pads fit both the YH-5000SE and the YH-4000, so you can freely fine-tune the sound of your headphones with them.
