Why two power amplifiers?

Because two 461s take your system to the next level: in mono-bridge mode, each power amp drives a single speaker with full, undivided power (up to 450 W at 8 Ω) – shorter signal paths, cleaner channel separation, more control over demanding speakers. The 491 handles streaming, conversion, phono and volume up front, while the two 461s deliver the power behind it. Bought separately, two 461s and one 491 together cost CHF 15,140; as a pack you get all three for CHF 14,480 – a saving of CHF 660.

Who is this pack for – and who isn't it for?

Ideal for anyone who wants to drive large or demanding speakers with maximum control and build a genuine high-end pre-/power-amp chain with modern streaming.

Straight talk: for small speakers in a side room this is overkill – a single 461 (set with the 491) or a compact device is enough there. If you only need two power amps without a preamp, go for the Power Pack 461.

What's included in the MOON Streaming Pack 2?
Included are two MOON 461 power amplifiers and one MOON 491 streaming preamplifier. Together they form a complete high-end chain with streaming, DAC, phono and separate power amplification per channel. Only speakers and cabling are missing.

Why two power amps instead of one?
Two 461s allow mono-bridge or bi-amping operation: each power amp drives one speaker at full power (up to 450 W / 8 Ω in mono-bridge). This brings more control, better channel separation and headroom for demanding speakers.

What's the difference to the Power Pack 461?
The Power Pack 461 contains only the two power amplifiers – without a preamp. The Streaming Pack 2 adds the 491 streaming preamplifier and is therefore a complete chain. With the Streaming Pack 2 you don't need a separate preamp anymore.
