The Clearaudio Smart Power 24V Statement is the version of the battery power supply tailored to the Statement turntable: it disconnects the drive from the mains during operation and feeds it with DC current from NiMH batteries.

Housing and circuitry follow the flagship: aluminium with Panzerholz laminate wood elements, solid, low in resonance and electromagnetically shielded. In Silver it sits next to a light-coloured Statement as if it had always belonged there.

Why the Smart Power 24V Statement?

On a turntable of this class, the last remaining source of interference is the wall socket. In battery operation there's no longer any conductive bridge to the mains – whatever happens there stays there. The Statement drive registers even the smallest voltage fluctuations, and it's exactly those that a battery store keeps flatter than any power supply with a mains connection ever could.

Do I absolutely need it if I own a Statement?

Does it also fit an Ovation or Innovation turntable?

How much space should I plan for?

At around eight kilograms and with a solid housing of aluminium and Panzerholz, it belongs on a stable, level surface. Some air all around is sensible, since charging generates heat. Don't put it on a wobbly shelf.
