Warum ist der EVO 5.2 Stand niedriger als der EVO 5.1 Stand?

Weil die Lautsprecher unterschiedlich hoch sind. Die EVO 5.2 misst selbst 497 mm, die 5.1 nur 340 mm. Mit 478 mm Ständerhöhe landet der Hochtöner der 5.2 auf derselben Ohrhöhe wie die 5.1 auf ihrem 633 mm hohen Ständer. Die beiden Modelle sind deshalb nicht tauschbar.

Kann ich die Säulen mit Sand befüllen?

Möglich ist es, nötig meist nicht. Mit 13,3 kg pro Stück ist der Ständer bereits sehr ruhig. Wer das letzte bisschen herausholen will, kann die Kohlenstoffstahl-Säulen befüllen und den Schwerpunkt weiter nach unten legen – rechne dann aber mit einem echten Möbelstück beim Umstellen.

Sind Spikes und Gummifüsse im Lieferumfang?

Ja, beides liegt dem Paar bei, dazu das Montagematerial. Die gehärteten Stahl-Spikes koppeln auf Teppich sauber an und stellen den Ständer wackelfrei, die Gummifüsse schützen Parkett und andere empfindliche Böden. Für Spikes auf hartem Boden empfehlen sich zusätzliche Unterlegteller aus Metall.

The Wharfedale EVO 5.2 Stand is a 478 mm tall speaker stand made of carbon steel, whose top plate is cut exactly to the footprint of the EVO 5.2.

At 497 mm tall and 15 kg, the EVO 5.2 is almost a small floorstander already. That's exactly why what it stands on is no side issue here — and the matching stand is built lower than the one for the 5.1, so the tweeter still lands at ear height.

The top plate measures 260 × 350 mm and matches the footprint of the 5.2 exactly, so the cabinet sits fully supported across its base. Why is the EVO 5.2 Stand lower than the EVO 5.1 Stand?

Because the speakers are different heights. The EVO 5.2 itself measures 497 mm, the 5.1 only 340 mm. With 478 mm of stand height, the 5.2's tweeter lands at the same ear height as the 5.1 on its 633 mm stand. The two models are therefore not interchangeable.

Can I fill the columns with sand?

Possible, but usually not necessary. At 13.3 kg per piece, the stand is already very calm. If you want to squeeze out the last bit, you can fill the carbon steel columns and lower the centre of gravity further — but then expect a genuine piece of furniture when you go to move it.

Are spikes and rubber feet included?

Yes, both come with the pair, along with the mounting hardware. The hardened steel spikes couple cleanly on carpet and keep the stand wobble-free; the rubber feet protect parquet and other sensitive floors. For spikes on a hard floor, additional metal spike discs are recommended.
