It protects the transport, tonearm and record from dust without hiding the deck's looks.

The GT-5000 is deliberately supplied without a cover, to minimise resonance. The DCV-5000 is the matching original accessory if you want to cover the deck day to day.

Straight talk

Pure accessory – it fits only the GT-5000. For a purist setup, some deliberately leave the cover off; but if you want to protect the turntable from dust (or have children or pets in the house), you're better off with the original than with makeshift solutions. The cover is usually removed for playback.

Technical overview

Type: acrylic glass dust cover

Fits: Yamaha GT-5000

Genuine Yamaha accessory

Frequently asked questions

<details>

Which turntable does the DCV-5000 fit?

Only the Yamaha GT-5000.

</details>
<details>

Is the GT-5000 supplied without a cover?

Yes.
