viablue-nf-s6-air-nf-kabel
ViaBlue NF-S6 AIR Cinch/RCA Interconnect Cable

The ViaBlue NF-S6 AIR Cinch/RCA cable is the unbalanced reference of the NF range: an analogue connection with air as the dielectric, coupling source and amplifier virtually loss-free and rich in detail.

Instead of plastic, there's air between the conductors – via an Airpipe system with 24+1 air chambers, the best-sounding dielectric there is. Add to that 2× 6 finely silver-plated OFC copper strands, sixfold shielding and solid T8 XL Cinch connectors. Ready-made as a Cinch pair.

Why the NF-S6 AIR Cinch/RCA?

Cinch is the standard on almost every system – the NF-S6 AIR pushes that level to the top. Where simple cables hold things back, the air dielectric provides an openness you hear immediately on high-resolution systems. No effect, just the maximum in clean transmission.

What you'll hear

Maximum resolution, a deep black background and dynamics that take a breath. Voices and instruments stand tangibly in the room, which stays stable right into the corners – the top league of the NF range.

Who is the NF-S6 AIR Cinch/RCA suitable for?

For high-quality systems with Cinch inputs and outputs on an amplifier, CD player, DAC, streamer or phono stage, where the last bit counts. Plain talk: if you have balanced XLR connections, take the XLR version. And honestly, an entry-level system does just fine with an NF-S1 too – the NF-S6 AIR only shows its strengths on a correspondingly refined system.

Our verdict

The NF-S6 AIR is ViaBlue's uncompromising Cinch reference – air dielectric, sixfold shielded, for systems that can deliver on it. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil we'll help you find the right length and tell you honestly whether your setup can bring out this level.

Technical data

Type: unbalanced interconnect cable (Cinch/RCA)

Dielectric: air (Airpipe system, 24+1 airpipes)

Inner conductor: 2× 6 finely silver-plated OFC copper strands

Shielding: sixfold (3 alu-PET foil shields + 3 OFC braided shields)

Connector: ViaBlue T8 XL Cinch, 24kt gold-plated contacts

Colour: Cobra (braided sleeve)

Lengths: 70, 150, 200, 300, 500, 750 cm

Scope of delivery: 1 Cinch pair, ready-made

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the air dielectric do for the NF-S6 AIR?
Air is the best-sounding dielectric – it slows down and colours the signal the least. ViaBlue routes the conductors through an Airpipe system with 24+1 air chambers, so they're almost entirely surrounded by air. This brings more resolution and a calmer background.

What length should I choose?
As short as possible, as long as necessary. Measure the actual distance between the devices and allow a bit of extra. Excessive length just costs more, without helping the sound.

Is the NF-S6 AIR Cinch also available in black?
ViaBlue supplies the Cinch version in the Cobra braid. Black is only available for the NF-S6 AIR in the balanced XLR version, in 70 cm – you'll find that as a separate product.

Why buy the ViaBlue NF-S6 AIR Cinch/RCA from HD Zürisee?
Because we give you honest advice based on years of experience – which length makes sense and whether this reference cable is really worthwhile for your system.
