sonorostreamwn
Sonoro Stream Internet Radio, Walnut (Piece)

The Sonoro Stream is a compact, splash-proof internet and digital radio for the bathroom and kitchen – with a waterproof remote control, DAB+, over 25,000 internet radio stations, Spotify Connect and Bluetooth.

In plain terms: you're allowed to sing along in the shower without offending the radio. Splashes don't bother it, the remote is waterproof, and a dedicated equalizer makes sure it doesn't sound like an indoor swimming pool in a tiled bathroom.

Why the Stream?

Because it's made exactly for the rooms where normal radios give up: bathroom, kitchen, hobby room. The housing is splash-proof, the included remote control is waterproof (IPX7) – operation with wet hands included. Despite its compact size, there's no shortage of sources: FM, DAB+, over 25,000 internet radio stations, a dedicated podcast mode, plus Spotify Connect, Amazon Music, Deezer and Bluetooth. Control it on the unit itself, via the remote or the app. Available in several wood finishes – this version in walnut.

What you hear

A surprisingly full sound for such a small housing. A 3-inch wideband speaker handles the mids and highs, two side-mounted passive radiators push the bass along. The really clever part is the bathroom equalizer: tiled rooms tend towards echo and boominess – the special sound setting irons that out, so music and voices stay clean. If you later move the Stream to the kitchen or garage, you simply adjust the sound with the equalizer.

Who is the Stream for?

For anyone who wants to bring music to rooms where moisture is a factor – bathroom, kitchen, laundry room – without giving up internet radio, DAB+ and streaming. Straight talk: the Stream is a compact mono radio for casual listening, not a HiFi speaker for the living room. And it won't survive being submerged – splash-proof means splashes and steam, not a full bath. For its intended purpose, though, it's spot on.

Our Verdict

A cleverly thought-out designer radio for every damp room in the house: robust, good-sounding, and wonderfully practical thanks to the waterproof remote. If you finally want decent music in the bathroom or kitchen, the Stream is a small, charming solution – in an attractive wood finish to boot.

What the trade press says

"The Sonoro Stream is far too good for the bathroom alone. The housing is splash-proof and the remote is waterproof (IPX7), so you can operate it with wet hands without any issue. Important: splashes and steam are no problem, but submerging it or a direct shower jet is – place it somewhere dry, not inside the shower itself.

Do I need a paid subscription?
No. FM, DAB+ and over 25,000 internet radio stations work without any subscription, as does Bluetooth. Streaming services like Spotify Connect, Amazon Music or Deezer are optional extras you can use, but don't have to.

Why does the Stream sound better in tiled rooms?
Because tiled rooms echo heavily. The Stream has a special bathroom equalizer setting that compensates for exactly that, plus two side-mounted passive radiators for a fuller bass foundation. That keeps voices and music clear rather than muddy, even between tiles.

Can I also use the Stream in the kitchen or garage?
Sure. Thanks to its compact size and USB charging port, it fits on any countertop or shelf. You adjust the sound to the room via the equalizer – one device for music throughout the house.

Why buy the Sonoro Stream at HD Zürisee?
Because we'll give you honest advice on which sonoro radio suits which room – and help with the WiFi setup if needed.
