The result is more detail resolution and finer tracking ability, without making handling or alignment any harder.

Technical data

Type: MC (Moving Coil)

Stylus: bare Vital-profile diamond

Cantilever: conically shaped aluminium

Nominal output voltage: 350 µV

Weight: 6 g

Recommended tracking force: 1.75–2.0 g

Recommended input impedance: 100 Ohm, 1000 pF

Recommended for: Planar 6, Planar 8

What's included: 1 cartridge incl. mounting screws

Frequently asked questions

Is the Ania Pro worth it over the Ania?

Yes, especially on the Planar 8 with an RB880 tonearm, the finer Vital-profile diamond shows audibly more detail and soundstage depth. On the Planar 3 the difference is smaller, where the Ania is usually enough.

Does the Ania Pro also fit the Planar 10?

Mechanically yes, but sonically we'd recommend the Apheta 3 or Aphelion 2 for the Planar 10 – these are specifically tuned for that tonearm and platter.

Why buy at HD Zürisee?

Authorized Rega dealer with an experienced team, our own technician for advice, fitting and service, delivery in the Lake Zurich region.
